Introduction

Hi, welcome to Med On The Go!

Along with the podcast by the same name, this is a blog that will be filled with interesting medical knowledge—not vast masses of info like you can get on Wiki—but smaller bits and pieces of gems (compiled by me) that you can actually digest and remember!

To understand why I’ve decided to start this blog and podcast, let me tell you a bit about myself. I was trained as medical doctor in Adelaide, Australia at the University of Adelaide; after completing med school, I served my PGY1 at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. After that, however, I temporarily left the medical field to pursue my dream of singing professionally—drastic change, I know right? Two albums, two singles, a book, and a successful small business later, I moved with my Canadian husband to his hometown Vancouver, where I am now based and waiting to becoming Canadian! In the meantime, I thought: why not get registration in Canada? It will be great to review all the medical stuff again, if not for the exams just think how useful the knowledge would be. So the Med On The Go blog and podcast are essentially a journal of my studies; I review different topics, compile the info into a format that’s easy to understand, and everyone can benefit from it! You are also welcome to contribute to the information.

Because I’m not sponsored by anyone nor making profit from subscribers, I ask that you kindly bear with me if my progress is not always steady—life gets in the way of us all sometimes. Also, I’d really appreciate it if you can leave positive reviews for the podcast too; that would be so nice and helpful. Thanks!

I look forward to making new friends on this medical journey. Bon voyage!
